Frequently Asked Questions

HANDMADE IN MOROCCO • ONE OF A KIND
Sustainable textiles • Worldwide shipping • No mass production
About Our Craft
What is a Kilim — and why does it matter? +
A Kilim is not just a textile. It is a language woven by hand. Each pattern, each color, and each irregularity reflects a place, a moment, and a person.
What makes your pieces different from others? +
We don't do mass production. Each item is a unique story, salvaged from vintage textiles or woven specifically for a slow-fashion approach.
Are your products truly handmade? +
Always. From the initial weaving to the final construction, every step involves human hands. Imperfections are the proof of life.
Kilim Bags
What is a Kilim bag? +
It is a functional piece of art, made by repurposing traditional flat-woven Moroccan rugs into durable, one-of-a-kind bags.
Is every bag unique? +
Yes. Since we use specific parts of handmade rugs, no two bags can ever be identical. Your bag is yours alone.
Why are Kilim bags expensive? +
You are paying for hundreds of hours of labor, rare vintage textiles, and fair wages for Moroccan artisans. It is an investment in heritage.
Are Kilim bags durable? +
Extremely. Kilim is a tight, flat weave designed for rugs. When converted into bags with quality leather, they are built to last for decades.
Kilim Rugs
What kind of rugs do you offer? +
We specialize in traditional Moroccan Kilims, flat-woven rugs known for their geometric patterns and tribal symbolism.
Where do your rugs come from? +
Straight from the Atlas Mountains and rural weaving cooperatives in Morocco. No intermediaries.
Are your rugs decorative or functional? +
Both. While they look like gallery pieces, they are meant to be lived with, walked on, and cherished daily.
Do rugs change over time? +
Handmade rugs develop a beautiful patina. Natural dyes may soften slightly, making the rug even more distinguished as years pass.
Philosophy & Sustainability
Is your work sustainable? +
Yes. We use natural fibers, organic dyes, and often upcycle vintage textiles, reducing the environmental footprint of fashion.
Do you support artisans? +
Our work provides direct income to artisan families, ensuring traditional weaving techniques remain a viable livelihood.
Shipping & Orders
Do you ship internationally? +
Yes, worldwide shipping is available. All orders are sent via premium carriers and include full tracking.
How long does delivery typically take? +
Our shipping partners typically deliver within 5–10 business days for international orders. However, as each piece is a unique artisanal treasure, these timeframes are estimates.
What about Custom (Made-to-Order) pieces? +
For custom pieces, please allow a dedicated weaving period, usually spanning 8 to 12 weeks, ensuring your piece receives the care it deserves.
Returns & Care
Can I return my order? +
Yes, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. As each piece is unique, exchanges are subject to current availability.
How should I care for my bag or rug? +
Spot clean only. Avoid machine washing. For rugs, professional cleaning is recommended to maintain the integrity of the natural fibers.
